can i write this?
I dont know where to start. I am kind of terrible at taking pictures and remembering everything that goes on in a day. Our first night in Chicago consisted of dropping hundo’s all over the public transportation system, blistery feet, and a run in with angry Artist Cafe workers. Okay, that’s an exaggeration. We walked around downtown quite a bit and saw some stuff. Yeah, stuff. The night ended with a quiet round of rock band. I slept on a blue couch that wasn’t even Paul or Kayci’s. However, it was a very comfortable couch.
Yesterday afternoon we ventured to China Town. Where Paul bought one bag of fortune cookies and I smelled a lot of fish. We ate at a place called Taste of Asia. Very authentic, dont you know. After China Town we followed the train tracks to Seth’s house. Paul had no idea where he was going, but I guess if you follow the tracks, you end up somewhere you want to be. Seth lives in a really nice apartment in the South Loop. Rachel and Paul left to go to some museum while Seth and I resorted to making deviled eggs, freestyling on the guitar, and dancing like Will Smith in the Wild Wild West. Seth and I have been friends for quite some time but our relationship has had to rely on the phone and internet due to distances. However, it’s never awkward. You werent awkward were you? haha Anyways, I ended up staying at his house because it was pretty late when everything went down and i wouldve had to ride on a train home alone at night. I slept on yet another couch, but this one was leather. Seth has two cats and they decided to make me their personal jungle gym all throughout the night. I’m not even mad! Except for a terrible cat scratch fever Sophie left me on my finger. My first ailment!
This morning Seth walked me to the train station and I got on the red line to go back to Pauls. I decided it was time to man up and go it alone. Everything was fine and I sat next to a nice lady who liked to snore while sleeping. I dont know how people fall asleep on the train and still know where they are at when they wake up. Public transportation is so foreign to me. Here’s what i have learned: there is a red line and there is a brown line. ha!
Right now we are getting ready to go to Wrigley field and the Lincoln Park Zoo. We just woke Paul up and he greeted us with a “What are you turds doing?” Classic!
I would also like to take time to let my mom know that i have been wearing the same pants for the past 3 days. I think i may even go for a 4th tomorrow. How you like me now!
