Our drive through WY was our favorite drive so far. Everything was gorgeous and untouched. We never got tired of driving because the land around us was just that good. We thought we were going to Yellowstone National Park, but little did we know the boys (Kyle and Jeff) were working south of the park. We ended up in Togwotee which has no actual address so that was really fun to find on the ole GPS! It was so wonderful to hug Kyle and Jeff when we arrived. As soon as we got there we went for a little hike. Very cool! Kyle told us how to fight off bears, so I felt pretty prepared with my new found knowledge. After our hike, we went and got dinner at the lodge restaurant. Once Jeff got off work, we met up with a few of their friends there and had a campfire. There were guitars, smiles, and an immense amount of laughter. Everything felt so good, and so right. I had a lot of fun getting to know their friends and it is amazing how comfortable you can be in a new situation when you just let yourself be comfortable. It was unbelievably cold in Togwotee. The weather called for sneaks, jeans, and a hoodie. Good thing you gave me that CSCC sweatshirt, Ashlie! We ended the night all cuddled up in the boys room which was very similar to a dorm room.
I wish we wouldve been able to stay at the mountain lodge another day, but the trip must go on! We didnt see a bear..or a bison. But! I did see a chocolate lab. Sis, you must get one!
