ohio has rollercoasters
Let’s see..yesterday was a good day. Today, not so much. Ha! I’m laughing, but it’s true. Yesterday Rachel and I visited a Rose Garden here in Portland and it was pretty great. Dawn, I thought of you the whole time! We always think of where we would hang out in the city we are visiting. We both agreed we would come to the Rose Garden to read or eat lunch. Afterwards we walked around the city a littl more and ate lunch. I cant remember what it was called, but the most important part was that I got a panini. We somehow thought it would be a good idea to see a movie while in Portland and I’m not really sure how that came about but when we saw that they were playing 500 Days of Summer, we were in those swivel doors in no time. The movie was real cute and we felt full of love.
Later into the evening, we met up with Sam and all of his room mates that just got back from a beach house on the coast. All of his room mates are hilarious and fun. They were all very friendly and we got along swimmingly. We went to another friend’s house just to hang out and I was pretty happy there was a dog there. I miss Kip. I hear he has been sleeping in my bed longing for me to return home. This dogs name was Bear and he had really soft ears. A few hours passed and we all went to this place called Backstage. The second song I heard in this place was Brand New. Man, Portland is good. We all talked, laughed, and shared until the wee hours of the morning. It was a solid night and gave us high hopes for the city. Rachel is pretty interested in moving here. I still like Seattle the best.
Today has been relatively frustrating because every place we have tried to find as far as parks, entertainment, and food have failed us. We just got back from driving around aimlessly for an hour and a half. And it wasn’t a good aimless. Howevs, we are back at the house and hanging around until we feel good about going back into the world again.
To end on a good note: :]
